"You can fool some of the people all of the time, you can fool all of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time." I want to hear McCain say that to Obama. However if we have to come up with one on our own it would be, "When our ecosystem is finally alive it will be dead." This one I would like to hear form either side just so long as it is the one who ends up being president because I want a President that has a compunctious stand towards our ecosystem.
I hope that one of the candidates says "Governments should be controlled by their people, not people controlled by their governments." This would be awesome because it would mean that one of their speech writers came up with the same thing I did. Great minds think alike. Quincey Johnson Block 1
An everyday person can serve the nation; the nation can serve an everyday person.
This would be much more believable coming from Obama, who is known for his more modest background and is not, like McCain, clouded by comments of seeming indifference to the middle-class.
This is one likely said about McCain, either by one of his supporters or his opposition: "Though he was criticized for following Bush's policies, he made a policiy of following Bush."
An antimetable, eh? Can we make these up then? Neat...in America!
uh... uh... ummm...
"You can take the man out of the race, but you can't take the race out of the man."
That's clearly an Obama oriented message, but I could see McCain using it for a strategic purpose, too... In America! ----------- Quote of the day: "Alas poor yorick, in knew him... in America!" -Duel of the Dead
Como estas? Quincey, John McCain is not worth the time of day. Sorry, but the truth hurts.
I Would like to hear Barack Obama say "We cannot be expected to respect the freedom that our government gives us if our freedom comes without respect from our government."
I can imagine him saying this it suits what Obama is going for with trying fix the disrespect the republican party's Bush administration has shown the citizens of the United States over the past 8 long years. This is factual. Josh Poindexter, Block 1
I would like to hear either one of them say,"People will pay less and less for oil," not "Oil will pay less and less for people." Who cares about different sources of energy right now? When we've got the oil at hand, we should use it. They're only worried about running out; no one has actually said we're out of oil. Use it till we're out, but develop something different on the sidelines. Don't just waste this valuable resource on a fear that we'll run out in a distant future we can't see. There's plenty of oil left in the world, and in our country. Drill it.
This is going to be quite different from what Kayla just said, but... I would love to hear McCain say "Run out on the oil, before the oil runs out on you." Meaning that we should be spending more time trying to come up with an alternative for gas as fuel, because its obviously the better option. But I understand your views as well. Really as long as they do SOMETHING to lower the gas prices, it's fine by me.
How about you can take the kid from the fight but you can't take the fight from the kid in reference to the no child left behind act. Maybe? Shelby Stevenson Block7 (ik this won't qualify for extra credit, i just wanted to add to the comments)
I believe a good saying for one of the canidates would be "You can change our president but you can't change our problems" because it shows how realistic they are by not expecting all the problems facing them to just vanish when/if they get sworn in.
You cannot provide for your country, when your country cannot provide for you. Referencing to to spread of poverty and lack of health care benefits. Also to the increased, now somewhat low, gas prices pinching everyone.

Continue not George Bush's beliefs for what should be done in America, but what u believe should be done in America.

That last one was by Kayla Grossnickle, Block 7. Oops. Forgot to put my name!
